Overview:

If you blink, you’ll miss Korean Sun. Tucked behind a costume store and under the imposing Arvorig, this hole in the wall specializes in Juk. The traditional décor and small space provide a break from the noise and bustle of the Itaewon Strip. If you are unfamiliar with juk, don’t let the “porridge” or “gruel” descriptions turn your stomach. Korean Sun’s Juk is more akin to a tomato or Chicken and rice soup than instant cream of wheat. Japanese tourists with a penchant for abalone have made this restaurant a hot spot on the tourist trail. Juk is well beyond reasonably priced, making it an excellent option for a light lunch, or late hangover breakfast. Traditional teas and liquors are offered as well as traditional drinking snacks.
